Electronic signature at the service counters of the Pensionsversicherungsanstalt (PVA)

Pensionsversicherungsanstalt (Pension Insurance Institute), Vienna / Austria

Document processes at the service counters of the PVA have so far been largely paper-based. The “ZEPTA”* project sought to change this practice and implement electronic signatures.

In-depth analysis of existing processes at the service counter identified “gathering information in writing” as the most representative and relevant test case for the project.

Following the successful completion of the pilot phase, an electronic signature solution is now being launched at the service counters of the PVA. This solution, which is based on a client-server architecture, captures the signature when the client signs a tablet computer.

ZEPTA (in the original German) stands for future-oriented, uniform, process-optimized and cross-institutional application of public pension scheme, which essentially means an “electronic file”.
